Welcome back to the “Every Action Counts” 4-week challenge—a fun, rewarding way to learn how your actions affect the environment get a chance to win exciting prizes!

 

Last week, you found out what alien spirit animal you are with the fun personality test. This week, let’s embody our spirit animals of Mammoth, Chameleon, Ant, and Goldfish, and take a dive into the world of nature-inspired art to connect with our beautiful planet! By doing so, we can all learn to be more like Mammoth, in advocating for better protection of our world!

 

How It Works

  • Weekly Quiz: Every Friday from 15 Nov until 6 Dec 2024, you will receive an email packed with sustainable living tips and information. Complete the mini quiz in each email to accumulate points in the 4-week challenge!

Chance to Win

  • Weekly Green Prizes: Ace this week’s quiz for a chance to win exciting upcycled green prizes! This week, upcycled wallpaper cardholders and chip bag pouches are up for grabs (51 winners total).

  • Grand Prize: The highest scorers across the 4 weeks will get a chance to win a pair of Sony headphones, a DJI Osmo Pocket 3, or a Dyson hair dryer (3 winners total).

Coldplay’s sustainable tour adds innovative technologies like ones our alien animals encountered on their trip to Earth! They have kinetic dancefloors and power bikes at the concert generating energy for the show. These technologies have already cut carbon emissions by 59% compared to the band’s last world tour!

Films & Documentaries: Connect to Nature
Studio Ghibli’s Princess Mononoke

If you are a chameleon, this is the film for you, highlighting the need for our world to adapt. The 1997 classic explores the need for balance between humanity and nature. It follows a young prince caught in conflict between the forces of nature and humans seeking resources, serving as a powerful reminder of the urgent need for positive change.

If you are a mammoth, this documentary’s worth a watch. This serves as Attenborough’s witness statement and call to action. Reflecting on the dramatic changes he has observed throughout his career, Attenborough urges immediate action for the future of our planet, much like how you as a student can encourage positive action among your peers! These are the five ways Attenborough shares we can help the planet.
