New Hires Orientation Program for Faculty Staff

On Oct 2, new faculty members gathered to gain insights about HKUST from our senior leadership team and to connect with their fellow colleagues.

 

The discussions covered a range of topics, including the University's vision, research development and knowledge management. If you are interested in reviewing the presentation decks, please access them from intranet.

New Hires Orientation Program for Non-academic Staff

A session for non-academic staff who joined in Jul, Sep and early Sep 2024 took place on Oct 25. They made new acquaintance while they learned the functions and service of different units. Thanks VP-AB and the representatives from HRO, FO, ITSC, MTPC and Staff Association for speaking for us. Another highlight was Employee Assistance Program (EAP) which is available to all staff, their spouse and children under 18 years old.

The next orientation program for non-academic staff will be on Dec 3 and all other new hires will be invited.

Avoid Gender-related, Disability and Racial Bias in Recruitment and Selection @Oct 24

Participants learned how to prevent discrimination and other unlawful acts in recruitment and selection processes, gained insights and had hands on practices during the workshop.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will continue to support you along the way. No matter what is on your mind, or even just seeking for work / life coaching advice, give a call to the EAP hotline to have someone to chat with.
