Singing Bowl Workshop

Feeling overwhelmed or unsettled? Give yourself 45 minutes to re-set. Join our Singing Bowl Workshop and immerse yourself in soothing tones and gentle vibrations that help you reduce anxiety, improve focus, and enhance sleep quality.

Time: 1:00 PM – 1:45 PM
Venue: LG1027, Multi-purpose room
Quota: 15

Please register via the registration button below to reserve your spot by the end of 23 February 2026 (5:00 PM).

 

Remarks:
  • For your comfort and safety: The workshop is designed for relaxation, but if you have hearing sensitivity, are pregnant, have medical conditions (e.g., recent surgery), or are experiencing significant mental health challenges, please consult your healthcare provider and participate at your own pace.
  • The registration is on first-come-first-served basis and may close early once all spots are filled. Confirmation will be sent upon successful registration.
  • Participants are advised to wear loose, comfortable, and warm clothing to allow relaxation while lying on the yoga mat.
  • To make your experience more comfortable, it would be great if you could bring your own:
    • Towels (for sitting or lying down on the floor)
    • Yoga mat (optional)
    • Eye masks (optional)

Join the HKUST Talent Quest– Unleash Your Talent on Our 35th Anniversary Stage!

In celebration of our University’s 35th Anniversary and the unifying spirit of 1-HKUST, the Global Engagement & Communications Office (GECO) proudly presents the HKUST Talent Quest.

This is your invitation to showcase your unique talent on a grand stage—the finalists will perform live in the Main Hall of the Shaw Auditorium and compete for exciting prizes. Let’s come together to make this milestone celebration truly unforgettable!

Who can join?
All HKUST students, faculty, staff, and alumni—individually or in teams—are welcome!

What can you perform?
Any form of live performance! Sing, dance, play an instrument, perform kung-fu, juggle, act, or surprise us with your creativity.

What are the prizes?

  • Champion: HK$10,000 Broadway Gift Card
  • 1st Runner-up: HK$6,000 Broadway Gift Card
  • 2nd Runner-up: HK$4,000 Broadway Gift Card

Additional awards, including the Audience Choice Award, will also be presented!

How to enter?
Simply complete the online application form and submit a 30–60 second performance video

(Submission deadline: 23:59 HKT, February 25, 2026)

An extra spotlight opportunity:
Selected participants may also be invited to perform at the HKUST 35th Anniversary Launch Ceremony on March 16, 2026, at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Atrium. Join us in sharing the joy on stage during this historic moment for our University!

Kids@UST Science Workshop (Apr 2026) - pH Magic Kaleidoscope

Kids@UST science workshop, pH Magic Kaleidoscope, is now open for application! Senior primary students who are interested in science are welcome to join. Our instructors will guide students into the magical world of acids and bases and explore their relationship with ions through various interactive and enjoyable inquiry-based activities.
